2016 Year In Review

2016 Year In Review

2016 was truly a banner year for ePACT! Our team launched important features inspired by our users and clients’ feedback, and saw our user base double in size while expanding to over 103 countries! We also onboarded many new clients across North America and launched some exciting new partnerships.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our users, clients, friends, family and supporters. Each of you has helped shape ePACT into the emergency network that you trust to help keep your family and organization safe in any crisis. Now… here’s our recap of the year…

All Over The World

ePACT is now in 103 countries, as well as in every State in the US and every Province and Territory in Canada. We are thrilled to support family users across the globe, while also helping to get rid of paper forms for more and more organizations! This year, our team was thrilled to onboard a long list of new clients, including the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, the YMCA of Okanagan, City of Woodstock, Green Bay Area Youth Hockey Association, Washington Rush Soccer, and Terrapins Swim Team just to name a few!

ePACT was also honored to be chosen by the District of Squamish and Squamish Nation for their joint emergency preparedness partnership. Our emergency network is being used as part of this collaborative initiative to coordinate emergency processes, and connect and communicate with residents in the event of a crisis. The District of Squamish and Squamish Nation are doing amazing things for their community’s resilience, and many municipalities are looking at this as a model to use for their own preparedness and response plans. We are excited to be a part of the Squamish First Nation and District resiliency plans and look forward to supporting other municipalities going into the New Year.

Our Partners

This year, ePACT was a proud sponsor of three incredible events – the Southern Straits 2016 sailing race,  the BC Ride to Conquer Cancer, and First Cause, a fundraising ride supporting awareness of PTSD and Occupational Stress Injuries for First Responders. Events used ePACT to enhance safety by collecting athlete’s critical medical details, while ensuring communications with all participants in case of an unexpected issue or injury.

We are also proud to continue to work with our amazing partners, such as Active Network, PowerUp, FAST Emergency Supplies, Relentless Pursuit Partners, Yaletown Ventures, Pique Ventures, and Conconi Group, to name a few of our incredible supporters, and look forward to another great year together!

New Features for All

We have had a busy year in development! Using client and user feedback, we launched many new features in 2016:

  • eSignature-Full-WizardE-signature makes it easy for families to accept all waivers and provide their medical information in one place, while ensuring organizations never collect paper waivers again.
  • With Pick-Up Lists, families can quickly identify who is able to pick up their children for different activities.
  • The Updated Records Report sends coaches, camp staff, and school administrators an email notification whenever a member’s record has been updated (e.g. new cell phone number or allergy), so they always have the most accurate information at their fingertips.
  • Our comprehensive Immunization & Special Accommodations Modules help organizations collect the information they need to meet licensing regulations or make adaptations to accommodate members with special requirements.

Stay tuned for future enhancements in 2017, including mobile optimization for the ePACT form, advanced reporting, and a new support center!

ePACT Was There

2016 was our first year at the National Parks and Recreation Conference in St. Louis, and our team had a great time meeting Rec departments across North America. Both Matt and Wagner truly enjoyed the time they had to connect with attendees at the show, and are looking forward to seeing everyone next year.

ePACT was proud to participate in the launch event for the District of Squamish and Squamish Nation partnership, while also seeing firsthand their mock evacuation drill for over 600 Squamish residents. It was a great day as we celebrated the launch with several speakers, met 75 first responders across multiple emergency response groups, and also witnessed an initial test of their emergency alerts via voice, email and text message using ePACT.

The ePACT Team Grows

The ePACT family grew even more this year! Our fantastic additions to the team included Curtis and Wagner in Business Development, Angela in Accounting, Cici to the Customer Success team, and Michelle overseeing Marketing. We also can’t forget the addition of several office dogs, including rescues Malcolm (Wagner’s) and Riley (Elora’s), and special guests Casper and Ecko.

Also, wedding bells are ringing in this office! Elora, Michelle and Angela all got engaged this year!

Looking back, 2016 was an absolutely incredible year! Thank you to all for making this an amazing twelve months, and we’re sure 2017 will be even better!
