We were honored to chat with Jeff Mulock of the North Shore Girls Soccer Club (NSGSC) earlier this season. The NSGSC is based in North Vancouver, BC, and provides girls and women in the area with an opportunity to play soccer at many skill levels. The club is one of the largest sports associations of any kind in Western Canada with approximately 3,500 registered players, and ePACT is proud to support each and every one of them!
As a Divisional Soccer Director with NSGSC, Jeff told us about the club’s experience with ePACT and the feedback they’ve received from their coaches and parents. Watch our video or read on to find out what he shared!
What has the feedback on ePACT been like from your coaches?
The feedback has been positive. Before, we used to have coaches carry around a bag of papers with emergency information on them. Sometimes they had the information with them, and sometimes they didn’t. Now with the mobile app, they can dial up and bring that information right to them on the field. And you don’t even have to have wi-fi, because once you’ve downloaded it once, you always have all that information on your smartphone.
Why did you choose ePACT over other systems?
To be honest with you, we don’t know of other systems that have the same features as ePACT. We did have a registration system that gathered medical and emergency contact information, so we did have that information already. But for the security and the ease of access to information, ePACT offered those features that our current system didn’t have.
Have you heard of any situations where ePACT was used during a game or practice?
I have heard of players that have gone down with an injury where we’ve had to call emergency response to the field. With the ePACT App, the coaches’ ability to bring information up on their phone was very valuable to the medical people that were on the field. Just having all that information about the player right there was great–it’s comprehensive and everything is there.
From a parents perspective, what do you think is one of the biggest benefits?
As a parent having daughters in high school, I just hated the fact that come volleyball season I had to fill out volleyball medical and emergency contact information, and then the same thing for basketball and then soccer. I was constantly filling out these forms. To be able to have a system where I can fill out that information just once and then share it within the school, and other clubs and sports organizations that my daughters were involved in, would have been great. And that was one of the big selling features when we looked at ePACT at our club.
ePACT is proud to support (and cheer on) the NSGSC in our very own backyard! If you have questions about how ePACT can eliminate your paper emergency forms, waivers and consents, be sure to contact us today.
